I like the idea. I like that there are two halves to the toy - first half is where you pop the cards in, the second half is where you can write the words or draw some pictures. She had more fun popping in a new card, pressing the button to hear the word from the card, then pulling it back out and moving on to the next one than she did anything else. She certainly had no interest in writing or drawing...unless it was telling me what to draw so she could rub it out! It's colourful, has sound, and has a lot of cards to work through. I also liked that there are no batteries. It's USB chargeable and comes with a charging cable. The downside is the thickness, or rather, the thinness, of the cards. They are rather thin and flimsy and with one shove with a card, it was bent and wrinkled. A quick flattening out and the cards seem to work just fine again, but I don't see them lasting too long at the rate my granddaughter was going through them. xXx Weiterlesen

My niece likes Montessori toys for her 5 years-old, and this is a hit. There are over 500 cards with words on them, and when inserted into the top slot of the tablet the tablet says the word. There is a drawing space on the tablet where the child can also draw the object using the supplied stylus: or the care-giver can! The toy is educational, encouraging literacy, word recognition and fine motor skills. As with all Montessori toys, the idea is that they encourage interaction between the child, the care-giver and the toy itself.
